East Tennessee’s Largest Consignment event is back and bigger and better than ever.

The Spring/Summer event will be held at the Knoxville Expo Center on Clinton Highway.   This Spring Sale has a shift in the usual shopping days of the week.  The sale will open to the public on Tuesday, March 31st and will end on Friday, April 3rd with the Half Price Day.  The sale will not be open on Saturday due to the Easter Holiday.

Seasonal consignment sales offer a unique opportunity for both sellers and shoppers. What began as a few tents in the back yard where friends came together to resale their children’s items has become a multi-state event that gives local families a chance to earn some extra money by reselling their children’s gently used and clothing and toys.  Duck-Duck-Goose also provides a very affordable way to outfit your children for the upcoming season as most items are at 50-90% off of new retail prices.

Duck-Duck-Goose gives back to our community and the world through financial, goods and service donations.  In the fall of 2014 over 40 organizations benefited from the sale.

Over 20,000 eager shoppers turned out in search of a great shopping experience and a bargain or two! So don’t miss this exciting event.

Bag-A-Bargain, Knoxville’s giant rummage sale organized by the Junior League of Knoxville (JLK), will be on Saturday, March 7, 2015, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Chilhowee Park’s Jacob Building.
The selection of items for purchase is varied and massive thanks to the generous donations from local merchants and Junior League members. To facilitate an easy shopping experience, the sales floor is divided into departments, including appliances, arts and crafts, baby needs, building supplies, children’s clothing, furniture, holiday decorations, housewares, electronics, lawn and garden, linens, adult clothing, pet supplies, toys and games.

“Bag-A-Bargain benefits the community not only by raising funds to support the Junior League of Knoxville’s programs, but also by providing good, quality items at a very low cost,” said Suzanne Prince, President of JLK.

The Bag-A-Bargain concept began more than 50 years ago with a store on Vine Street called The Bargain Box, which offered new and gently-used merchandise at bargain prices. When it closed, the idea of Bag-A-Bargain emerged, and today, JLK members spend more than 5,000 volunteer hours collecting, tagging, organizing and pricing donated items for the giant, one-day sale. Funds raised from the shopping extravaganza will support JLK’s mission of promoting
voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities.

Tickets are $5 in advance and at the door, and attendees can bring a canned food item for the Mission of Hope to receive $1 off their admission price.

For more information, visit the JLK website at www.jlknoxville.org or contact JLK headquarters at 865-584-4124.

Enter to win 1 of 4 tickets to shop Saturday, March 7, 2015, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.by commenting  if you have ever shopped Bag-A-Bargain
