Schick Intuition Review and Giveaway

Lately, I’ve noticed my razors weren’t giving me the results I wanted. So, I decided to try something new. My choice was the Schick Intuition Renewing Moisture razor. The one I chose has pomegranate extract which makes for a terrific fragrance. The package comes with one razor, two replacement cartridges, and a holder for the razor that easily mounts to your shower wall.
The razor definitely has a feminine and convenient design. Its fuchsia handle is decorated with a colorful floral pattern. The handle is contoured to fit your hand, making it easy to hold while dry or wet. The head of the razor is unlike any I have seen. It is made of four razor blades surrounded by a moisturizing small bar of soap.
I did not believe the claims on the packaging that you do not need shave gel or soap to use this razor. I have sensitive skin and had bad experiences in the past with razors espousing similar claims. But, I cringed and decided to give this one a try—knowing I would regret it. I knew a razor burn awaited me the next day.
Surprisingly, I was wrong. This razor left me with absolutely no irritation. In fact, while shaving, I thought the razor was not working because I could not feel it. As long as you wet the head of the razor and your skin before beginning to shave, you will have a very pleasant experience. The soap attachment creates a wonderful moisturizing lather that enables the razor to glide across your skin. Instead of feeling like I was shaving, it felt as if I were simply rubbing soap on my skin.
The head of the razor is very large. Therefore, it covers a large area, cutting down on your shaving time. The shave gets very close and left no cuts or burn. However, I found myself needing to go over some spots under my arm repeatedly. Even after doing that, I was left with no irritation, or razor burn. That is very rare for my sensitive skin.
To get the razor head thoroughly clean, I had to detach the soap and blade compartment rinsing it on both sides. So, that was not very convenient. But, I definitely do not mind the extra step for a razor that leaves me with smooth and moisturized skin without irritation!
Although, I have not had to purchase soap replacements, others say the cost can become expensive. However, this purchase replaces the need to buy shaving creams or use other soaps for shaving. So, that makes up for a bit of the expense.
Overall, I consider this purchase a keeper! The benefits of a close shave, no shaving gel, and no skin irritation make the price worth it for me.
